      <image:title>About - about Brandon</image:title>
<image:caption>Brandon Lamarche is a graphic designer specializing in sports design and brand development. Brandon is also skilled in illustration, print design, uniform design, graphics for social and tv, and stadium signage design. Brandon went to Kansas State University where he studied architecture and received a bachelor’s degree in secondary education. Kansas State is also the origin of 3-2 Designs as Brandon used his design skills to help out K-state clubs and athletics. During the summer of 2015, Brandon worked for the Bowling Green Hot Rods (minor league affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays) as an accounts executive and graphics assistance under the great sport management minds of Eric C. Leach and Adam Nuse. There, he got first hand experience with print, production, motion graphics, logo design, and brand development for a professional sports team. After graduation in 2016, 3-2 Designs was born as an independent sports design studio, retaining the relationships Brandon made in Minor League Baseball. Brandon currently resides in Wichita, Kansas with his wife Courtney and their daughter Emilia. What 3-2 Designs brings to the table - Passion - For design and sports. <image:title>Work - Nashville Honky Tonks - From the start, ownership wanted the designs to be based off of the vibrant neon signs that cover the building sides of Nashville’s Broadway district. These large neon signs adorn the name of a honky tonk or retail shop along the thoroughfare. Imagery of existing places such as Second Fiddle, Honky Tonk Central, and Betty Boots were all used for inspiration for the final designs.</image:title>

<image:title>Work - Appalachian Redtails - The location name “Appalachian,” is a place holder name and can be changed at the request of any team interested in these designs. The name was chosen because of the vast amount of ground the Appalachian Mountains cover in the United States, making the Redtails team a possible choice for almost any team that calls the Eastern half of the United States home. The “Redtails” name is a play on the animal popular to the forested areas of the United States, the Red Fox. The Red Fox species is one of the most adaptable animal species in the world, just like the young ballplayer who has to travel across the globe in pursuit of their dream of becoming a professional baseball player. The Red Fox is cunning, agile, and a bit of a mischief maker, which captures the spirit of a young ball player perfectly.</image:title>

<image:title>Work - Nashville Sounds Alternate - The central focus of the Friday alternate jersey is the guitar heads on the sleeves. The Sounds wanted something unique that stood out in Triple-A baseball and paired nicely with their other uniform sets. Inspiration for this design was drawn from the unique sleeve pattern of the 1970’s- early 1980’s Atlanta Braves unifroms, which doned a feather with a basic stripe at the base of the sleeve. The sleeve design is based on the head and neck of a six string guitar. The guitar is very important to the growth of the music industry in Nashville and was the perfect fit to make a unique sleeve design. Within the head, you will also find motifs of the Nashville Sounds brand. The Tri-Star of the state flag, the “F” holes that are used throughout the Sounds logos and wordmarks, and the out line of Tennessee helps round out this unique design.</image:title>

<image:title>Work - Nashville Sounds Alternate - Both uniform ideas used classic Oakland Athletics uniforms as a template and used the primary guitar pick logo of the Nashville Sounds with the new proposed elephant logo on the sleeve. To tie the whole thing together, players would be encouraged to wear white cleats as the white cleat is a call card for the Oakland A’s.</image:title>

<image:title>Work - Bowling Green Bootleggers - The design motif for the Bootleggers brand centers around the bourbon barrel. Traditional bourbon is distilled in wood barrels. Distillers even burn the inside of the barrels before hand to add a certain flavor to the bourbon. The barrel is displayed prominent in the primary and secondary logos as well as the jersey wordmark.</image:title>

<image:title>Work - Bowling Green Hot Rods - The logo designs plays on the mascot designs in baseball at the time during the 70’s and 80’s. The Hot Rods mascot Roscoe the grease monkey was a perfect start to the design. Roscoe’s fauxback design mimics the cartoonish look of the Orioles bird from the same time period. The wordmark on the uniform draws inspiration from classic muscle car emblems. Powder blue was also added as a color to both tie in the time period and the parent club affiliate.</image:title>

<image:title>Work - Bowling Green Hot Rods - The 2018 season marked the 10th season the Hot Rods would play in the city of Bowling Green. The team wanted to commemorate this occasion with an anniversary logo that would be worn on the side of game hats and appear on signage and apparel around the ball park. This logo became a good luck charm as the Hot Rods won their division and went on to become the Midwest League Champions that season.</image:title>

<image:title>Work - Vihuelas de Nashville - The design brief made sure that the focus of the design was around the instrument of the vihuela. Through our research, we found that the vihuela was an important instrument in Spanish folk and mariachi music. The musicians that play vihuelas also tend to decorate them with either paint, wood fusing, or woodcarving. These elements were important to the development of the Vihuela branding.</image:title>

<image:title>Work - Bowling Green Sinkholes - Due to copyrights, the final designs could not be exact recreations of a Corvette car. This proved to be a challenge in the design process. The final design mimics one of the cars that survived the sinkhole with the initials BG hidden in the undercarriage of the car. A mole mascot was also created as a nod to Kentucky’s extensive cave systems that create these sinkholes. You can actual obtain sinkhole insurance in the area.</image:title>

<image:title>Work - Bowling Green Sinkholes - The design of the Sinkholes jersey is based on a geochronological map of the sinkhole created under the sky dome of the Corvette Museum. A geochronological map shows how rock layers are arranged in a rock formation. The different layers follow the “law of superposition,” meaning that the youngest rock layers are found on top while older layers are found towards the bottom. The rock layers form a timeline that tells us about the area through fossils and sediment composition. The fossil record on the jersey tells the design history of the Corvette, as well as the logo history of the Hot Rods franchise. Within each layer, you will find a different generation of Corvette. The first series on the bottom and the newest generation on top.</image:title>
